Just a quick, quick, quick sketch that I did. Pencil and ink. She looks totally mesmerized lol.

Meanwhile in the world of photography…

This skully image was on my mind for quite some time before I decided to finally birth it into black ink. The human anatomy is interesting to me and the swirling, curling lines on this piece are fun to look at : )

Along with owls, octopi also have a special place in my heart. They are extremely intelligent, beautiful animals and this one is catching a glimpse of the moon <3

The next few posts are not of my sketchbook, but rather some art jewelry that I created. All of the illustrations were imagined and hand drawn by me using graphite, charcoal and ink.
Owls and the moon have held a very special place in my heart for quite some time now, so I saw it fitting that I create a necklace that embodies those feelings.

“Up”

A watercolor illustration in my Moleskine.

I just finished doing a series of photographs that featured me “floating”. One of my original ideas (that was not used) was to incorporate balloons into the scene. My professor told me that it reminded him too much of the movie Up and so the idea was scrapped.

Apparently I’m still thinking of balloons.

Some doodles I did. One of them is Jack Sparrow… as for the others, who knows where they popped up from. Probably just wanted to meet Johnny Depp, or scold him from the looks on their faces : /

For a couple of days now I’ve been asking my boyfriend to give me a random word for a drawing prompt. He didn’t know why I was asking at first, so it was a challenge lol. He is a computer software engineer major at UF, so his words generally have something to do with computer-ish stuff.
This word was “configure” and so I came up with this image of a broken hearted robot who needs to re-configure his heart. I think all people must feel like that when they are broken up with. I know I sure did.
